Stephanie O'Neill relocated to Asheville, NC in 2010. As an established English riding instructor and professional horse trainer, Stephanie's broad range of experience in riding and training makes her a perfect choice for not only a beginner rider but also the more advanced rider and for anyone who is looking for help bringing their horse to the next level.

Stephanie grew up in Alice Springs, Australia where she began her amazing journey with horses at the tender age of 5. Returning to the US as a young teenager Stephanie trained under Laurie Dickerson. After much hard work she became a successful competitor in the worlds of Hunter & Dressage. However, Stephanie sought even greater challenges.

Accepted as a student at Flying Eagle Farm, Stephanie was introduced to the Arabian horse. It was during this time that she became successful in the "A" rated Arabian circuit in Hunter, Dressage, Show Hack, and English Pleasure. Next with a capable pure-bred Egyptian Arabian named Zakhir, this team became a force to be reckoned with in the Jumper ring.

Just a few short years later, at age 17, Stephanie turned in her amateur status and started teaching and training professionally; continuing her education with Greta Wrigly (USA Bronze, Silver and Gold Medalist) and Michael Matz (76, 92, 96 Olympian and trainer of Round Pound and Barbaro).

Stephanie was spotted by Colonel Hermann, owner of the Royal Lippizaner Stallions and offered a position to ride for him. After touring the east coast with the Lippizaners, Stephanie opened her own facility, Willow Acres Equestrian Center in Sarasota, Florida.

In 2000 Stephanie moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico and trained under and for Greg Jackson at La Hascienda Siesta Alegre. Here she prepared yearlings in all aspects of training for their racing career. After leaving Puerto Rico, Stephanie moved to Philadelphia to pursue her interest in professional racing as a jockey. After riding at Philly Park, Stephanie worked with the National Steeplechase Association circuit. Bringing her full circle, combining her passion for racing and competitive jumping.

In addition to being a professional rider/trainer/instructor, Stephanie also has certification in Equine Massage Therapy. Stephanie offers private instruction for all ages and levels.
